The City is committed to engaging the public to receive valuable input into the planning process throughout each phase. The Public Involvement and Communications program includes a large contact database containing approximately 6,400 community members, the project website, project materials and implementation of large and small public meetings.

To date, the City has hosted three large public open houses on July 27, 2005, June 7, 2007 and May 14, 2014 along with a number of Community Advisory Committee meetings and individual stakeholder meetings. Project materials have been distributed in person, electronically and through the U.S. postal service. Information and updates have also been distributed to the local and regional media to ensure awareness of the project.
